Last week, editorials in privately-owned sister newspapers Aruna (Sinhala) and Thamilan (Tamil) discussed two divergent priorities on enforced disappearances. Aruna proposed to prioritise compensating the relatives of the disappeared, while Thamilan highlighted the need to seek justice for the victims.
