Verité Media was established in 2016 with the vision of improving public understanding and access to reliable information, while professionalising the media industry.

We specialise in areas including, but not limited to, media ethics, ownership, polarisation, regulation, and information disorders.

Executive Director Head of Research

Nishan is one of Sri Lanka’s most respected and influential economists, with extensive academic, public policy and private sector experience.

Deputy Director Media and Politics

Deepanjalie has extensive experience in media ethics, media behaviour as well as media and women.

Chrishari de Alwis Gunasekare has previously worked as a sub-editor for The Morning newspaper and a programme coordinator for the Sri Lanka Press Institute.

Edward has worked as a journalist at Athavan News, a television presenter at Athavan TV.

Jonathan undertakes both research and managerial responsibilities within the media team.
