Foreign media report that tensions between Iran and Israel flared again less than an hour after the ceasefire agreement was concluded, with Iran launching an attack on Israel, prompting an immediate retaliation. Iran claimed its strike was in response to an earlier Israeli attack, while Israel maintained its response was due to Iran violating the newly established ceasefire. President of the U.S. Donald Trump stated that both nations had breached the ceasefire agreement, and called on Israel to withdraw its aircraft. Despite the renewed hostilities, both countries have since agreed to a temporary ceasefire, effectively pausing the 12-day-long escalation of violence in the Middle East. The truce proposal was reportedly initiated by President Trump amid continued exchanges of fire upto the final hours.
