Ganesan also stated that the Indian High Commission had clarified that the Indian Housing Project, which is estimated at Rs. 2.7 million per unit, is distinct from the disaster relief housing. He emphasised that plantation workers are Sri Lankan citizens and must be included in the government’s relief housing and land allocation schemes.
